Stems

1. The stem is the part of a plant from which leaves, flowers or fruits grow.

2. the stem supports the branches of the plant.

3. Some plants like rose plants, coconut trees and mango tress have hard ang
    thick stems. These types of stem are called woody stems.

4. Some plants such as tomato plants, water lilies and bana trees have soft 
    stems. 

5. The stem carries water and food for plants.
